EDGE Grant
Enterprise Singapore’s single business grant, which took over from EDG, MRA and PSG on 30 September 2026.
The EDGE Grant is Enterprise Singapore’s business grant for new projects that upgrade capabilities, improve efficiency or expand overseas. It opened on 30 September 2026, replacing new applications under EDG, MRA and PSG. Each company can receive up to S$100,000 in total support per year, with support levels set by activity.
Grant rules and laws change. Check the official page before you apply or act. This page is general information, not legal or financial advice.
How it works
Before 30 September 2026, a Singapore SME looking for grant help had to pick between three schemes: the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), the Market Readiness Assistance grant (MRA) and the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG). Enterprise Singapore says these three ceased on 29 September 2026. From 30 September onwards, new applications go through EDGE instead.
EDGE covers a wide spread of business areas. Enterprise Singapore lists automation and digitalisation, business strategy, financial management, innovation, internationalisation, standards and sustainability among them. You apply for each activity separately on the Business Grants Portal, using a Corppass account with the BGP Preparer or BGP Acceptor role.
| Rule | What the official pages say |
|---|---|
| Support level | Up to 70% for SMEs and up to 50% for non-SMEs, depending on the activity. The FAQ gives a general level of up to 50% for SMEs (30% for non-SMEs), rising to 70% (50%) for internationalisation and sustainability activities. |
| Annual cap | S$100,000 per company per year across all activities. The year runs 1 April to 31 March. |
| Digital sub-cap | Up to S$30,000 of that cap can go to single-function digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and pre-scoped equipment. |
| Who qualifies | Singapore-registered business entities with at least 30% local (Singaporean or PR) shareholding. |
| Claims | Reimbursement only, with a single final claim. Claims open from 1 November 2026 for digital solutions, enterprise systems and pre-scoped equipment, and from 1 December 2026 for other activities. |
Two rules catch people out. First, retrospective applications are not supported: if work has started or you have paid before you submit, the project will not qualify. Second, the money comes after the work. You pay the vendor in full, finish the project, then claim. For single-function digital solutions and integrated enterprise systems, the FAQ also limits each company to one application per UEN.
If you already have an EDG, MRA or PSG project in progress, it carries on. Enterprise Singapore says ongoing submissions will continue to be processed, and those older grants do not count towards your EDGE cap.
What it means for your business
Plan the project first, then apply, then sign. Get quotes, check that the solution and vendor appear on the official lists (the FAQ points to the IMDA SMEs Go Digital platform for single-function digital solutions), and budget for paying the full amount upfront. Whether a supplier’s product qualifies is decided by the grant body, not by the supplier. StarLabs does not handle grant applications. We can help with the IT work around a new system, such as getting laptops, Wi-Fi, accounts, backups and security ready so the rollout goes smoothly.
Common questions
Can I still apply for PSG?
No. Enterprise Singapore says PSG, EDG and MRA ceased on 29 September 2026. New applications go through EDGE. Projects already submitted continue to be processed.
Can I sign the contract before applying?
Not if you want the grant. The EDGE FAQ says retrospective applications, where work or payment began before you submitted, will not be supported.
When does the S$100,000 cap reset?
Every 1 April. The grant year runs from 1 April to 31 March the following year.
Rolling out a new system this year?
Our managed IT plans keep the devices, network and backups under it running.
