We’re an independent repair shop in Bugis. Alienware is Dell’s gaming brand, and most of the Alienware laptops we see are personal gaming machines, with a few used as powerful work laptops. They run hot and work hard, so fans, batteries and hinges get a lot of wear. Loud fans, high temperatures or slowdowns in games. We clean dust out, replace worn fans and can talk through storage or memory upgrades where the model allows it.

Alienware Area-51

The top of the current range, with large screens and high-power graphics. These laptops carry a lot of heat, so fan dust and dried thermal paste are the usual reasons they slow down.

Common models: Alienware 16 Area-51, and other Area-51 models.

Alienware Aurora laptops

The newer mainstream Alienware gaming laptops. Like any gaming laptop that is played on for hours, they benefit from regular cleaning, and their batteries wear with heavy use.

Common models: Alienware 16 Aurora and other Aurora models.

Alienware m-series (older models)

The thicker older range, often bought for gaming at home. On units a few years old we often see worn batteries, clogged fans and tired hinges.

Common models: Alienware m15, m16 and m18 models.

Alienware x-series (older models)

The thinner older range. Thin gaming laptops have less room for cooling, so dust build-up shows up quickly as heat and fan noise.

Common models: Alienware x14, x15, x16 and x17 models.

Older Alienware 15 and 17

Older Alienware laptops still turn up for battery, keyboard and screen work. Parts for very old models can be harder to find, so check with us first.

Gaming laptop care

A few simple habits keep an Alienware running well for longer:

  • Clean out the dust. Fans pull in dust every time you play. A clean every so often lowers temperatures and fan noise.
  • Fresh thermal paste. The paste between the chips and the heatsink dries out over time. Replacing it can help a laptop that has started running hotter than it used to.
  • Watch the battery. Gaming laptops often sit on the charger for long periods. If the case starts to lift, the trackpad stops clicking or the laptop rocks on a table, stop charging and read about a swollen battery.
  • Use a hard surface. Beds and sofas block the air vents.

Still under manufacturer warranty?

Check with Dell first. If a fault is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, that is usually the cheapest fix. Opening the laptop or using an independent repairer may affect your warranty, so ask before you book a repair with anyone. If your laptop is out of warranty, or the damage isn’t covered, we’re happy to help.

Can you repair my Alienware screen?

In most cases, yes. Send us the exact model so we can check the right panel for your laptop. Prices depend on the model and part. Send us the model on WhatsApp for a quote.

Will I lose my data?

Screen, battery, keyboard and fan repairs don’t normally touch your storage. Board and liquid damage repairs carry more risk. Back up before you bring it in if the laptop still works. A 3-2-1 backup is a good habit.

How do I find my Alienware model?

Look at the label under the laptop or near the battery area. In Windows, you can also open Settings > System > About or the System Information app. The Dell service tag is useful too.
