Dynabook & Toshiba Laptop Repair in Singapore

Toshiba laptops are now sold under the Dynabook name, and Dynabook’s own site says it was originally known as Toshiba. Most of the machines we see are Portégé and Tecra laptops from offices, plus older Toshiba Satellite laptops at home. We’re an independent repair shop, and it’s free to ask for a quote on WhatsApp.

Loud fans, a hot base or a slow laptop. We clean fans and can fit a larger SSD or more RAM where the model allows it.

Portégé

Thin, light business laptops, including the convertible X30W. Thin designs and fold-over hinges take daily wear, so hinge and screen faults are common on older units.

Common models: Portégé X30L, X30W, X40, X40L and Z40L, such as the X30L-P, X40-P, Z40L-N and X30W-K.

Tecra

Mainstream business laptops used across many office fleets. Older units mostly come in with worn batteries, tired keyboards and charging faults.

Common models: Tecra A40, A45, A50, A60 and A65, such as the A40-P, A60-P and A50-K.

Satellite Pro

Budget business laptops for staff and schools. They tend to see heavy use, so screens, keyboards and batteries are the usual repairs.

Common models: Satellite Pro C40 and C50, such as the C40-K and C50-K.

Older Toshiba laptops

Toshiba-branded laptops from before the Dynabook name. Many are still in use. Batteries, hinges and fans wear out with age, and parts can take longer to find, so we check before we quote.

Common models: Toshiba Satellite, Kira and Toshiba Chromebook laptops.

Company Dynabook laptops

Work laptops need a little more care before a repair. Check these with your IT team first:

  • BitLocker. Many company laptops have an encrypted drive. Have the recovery key ready, as some repairs can ask for it.
  • BIOS passwords. If the laptop has a supervisor password, your IT team needs to remove it or be on hand. We don’t bypass it.
  • Warranty first. If the laptop is on a business warranty such as next business day cover, use it before paying for a repair.
  • Fleets. We can look at several laptops at once and tell you which are worth fixing.

Still under manufacturer warranty?

Check with Dynabook first if your laptop is still under warranty. An independent repair may affect your manufacturer warranty. If the warranty has ended, or the damage isn’t covered, we’re happy to help.

Questions people ask

Can you repair my Portégé or Tecra screen?

Usually, yes, if a replacement panel is available for your exact model. Screens vary by size, resolution and touch support, so we check the part first. Prices depend on the model and part. Send us the model on WhatsApp for a quote.

Will I lose my data?

Screen, battery, keyboard and fan repairs don’t normally touch your files. Board repairs and liquid damage carry more risk. If the laptop still turns on, back up first. See 3-2-1 backup for a simple way to do it.

How do I find my model?

Look at the label under the laptop. It shows the series and model, such as Tecra A40-P. In Windows you can also open Settings > System > About. Send us a photo of the label on WhatsApp if you’re not sure.
