Loud fans, high temperatures or slowdowns in games. We clean fans, replace thermal paste and fit SSD or RAM upgrades where the model allows it.

Gigabyte series we repair

Gigabyte model names often include a short code, such as AM6J or GA6EH. Include it when you message us.

AORUS

Gigabyte’s high-end gaming laptops. They work hard and run hot, so fans, thermal paste and battery wear are the faults we see most.

Common models: AORUS MASTER 16, MASTER 16 GEN 2 (AM6J) and MASTER 18 (AM8H), plus older AORUS and AORUS ELITE models such as the AORUS 15P and 17X.

AERO

Creator laptops with colour-accurate screens, many of them OLED. Screens need careful handling, and cooling matters under long renders.

Common models: AERO X16, plus older AERO 14, 15, 16 and 17 OLED models such as the AERO 16 OLED.

GIGABYTE GAMING

Mid-range and budget gaming laptops. Fans, keyboards and screens are the usual repairs.

Common models: GAMING A16 (GA6EH), GAMING A16 PRO, GAMING A18 and GAMING A18 PRO (GA8J), plus older Gigabyte G-series laptops.

EAGLE

Gigabyte’s newer budget gaming line. Like any gaming laptop, dust in the fans builds up with use.

Common models: GIGABYTE EAGLE, such as the GL6J.

U series

Gigabyte’s thin-and-light laptops for everyday work. Batteries, keyboards and charging faults are the usual repairs.

Common models: Gigabyte U4.

Gaming laptop care

Gaming laptops run hot and work hard. A little care keeps a Gigabyte or AORUS laptop fast for longer:

  • Dust. Fans pull in dust, which slows airflow. A clean-out can bring temperatures and fan noise down.
  • Thermal paste. The paste between the chips and the heatsink dries out over the years. Fresh paste helps the cooling do its job.
  • Battery swelling. Heat speeds up battery wear. If the trackpad stops clicking or the base starts to lift, stop charging and read about a swollen battery.
  • Power. Use the charger that came with the laptop. A weaker charger can cause slowdowns or no charging under load.

Still under manufacturer warranty?

Check with Gigabyte first if your laptop is still under warranty. An independent repair may affect your manufacturer warranty. If the warranty has ended, or the damage isn’t covered, we’re happy to help.

Questions people ask

Can you repair my AORUS screen?

Usually, yes, if a replacement panel is available for your exact model. Screens vary by size, resolution and touch support, so we check the part first. Prices depend on the model and part. Send us the model on WhatsApp for a quote.

Will I lose my data?

Screen, battery, keyboard and fan repairs don’t normally touch your files. Board repairs and liquid damage carry more risk. If the laptop still turns on, back up first. See 3-2-1 backup for a simple way to do it.

How do I find my model?

Look at the label under the laptop. It shows the series and model code, such as AORUS MASTER 16 AM6J. In Windows you can also open Settings > System > About. Send us a photo of the label on WhatsApp.
