The LG gram is a very light laptop, which makes it popular with students and people who work on the move. We see grams from home users and from offices. We’re an independent repair shop, and it’s free to ask for a quote on WhatsApp.

Repairs we do

Screen

Cracks, lines or no picture. Light, thin lids can crack from pressure in a bag, so we check the exact panel first.

Laptop screen repair

Battery

Short battery life or sudden shutdowns. Batteries wear down with daily charging, like any laptop.

Laptop battery replacement

Keyboard & trackpad

Keys that stick, repeat or stop working, or a trackpad that won’t click.

Laptop keyboard replacement · Laptop hinge repair

Charging port & no power

Won’t charge, charges only at one angle, or won’t turn on. We check the board and do board-level repair where possible.

Liquid damage

A spill on the keyboard. Switch it off, unplug it and bring it in. Read about liquid damage.

Overheating, fans & upgrades

A hot base, a noisy fan or a slow gram. We clean fans and fit a larger SSD where the model allows it.

LG gram series we repair

LG model codes start with the screen size. A 16Z90RS is a 16-inch gram, and a 15Z90RT is a 15-inch gram.

LG gram

The standard gram in 14, 15, 16 and 17-inch sizes. Thin lids and light bodies flex more than heavier laptops, so screens and hinges need care.

Common models: LG gram 16 (16Z90RS), LG gram 15 (15Z90RT) and LG gram 17.

LG gram Pro

A faster gram in 16 and 17-inch sizes, for heavier work. More power means fans and cooling matter more over time.

Common models: LG gram Pro 16 and gram Pro 17.

LG gram 2in1 and gram Pro 2in1

Grams with a touchscreen that folds back into a tablet. Hinges and touch screens take extra wear on any 2-in-1.

Common models: gram 2in1 14 and 16, such as the 16U70R, and gram Pro 2in1.

LG gram SuperSlim and gram Style

Ultra-thin grams with a focus on looks. The thin body leaves little room, so screen and battery repairs need extra care.

Common models: LG gram SuperSlim and LG gram Style.

Company LG gram laptops

Work laptops need a little more care before a repair. Check these with your IT team first:

  • BitLocker. Many company laptops have an encrypted drive. Have the recovery key ready, as some repairs can ask for it.
  • BIOS passwords. If the laptop has a supervisor password, your IT team needs to remove it or be on hand. We don’t bypass it.
  • Warranty first. If the laptop is on a business warranty such as next business day cover, use it before paying for a repair.
  • Fleets. We can look at several laptops at once and tell you which are worth fixing.

Looking after a whole fleet? See business laptop repair, managed IT services or IT procurement for replacements.

Still under manufacturer warranty?

Check with LG first if your gram is still under warranty. An independent repair may affect your manufacturer warranty. If the warranty has ended, or the damage isn’t covered, we’re happy to help.

Questions people ask

Can you repair my LG gram screen?

Usually, yes, if a replacement panel is available for your exact model. Screens vary by size, resolution and touch support, so we check the part first. Prices depend on the model and part. Send us the model on WhatsApp for a quote.

Will I lose my data?

Screen, battery, keyboard and fan repairs don’t normally touch your files. Board repairs and liquid damage carry more risk. If the laptop still turns on, back up first. See 3-2-1 backup for a simple way to do it.

How do I find my model?

Look at the label under the laptop for the model code, such as 16Z90RS. The first numbers tell you the screen size. In Windows you can also open Settings > System > About. Send us a photo of the label on WhatsApp.
