Samsung adds a generation number to the name, such as Galaxy Book4 Pro. The number helps us find the right part, so include it when you message us.

Galaxy Book Pro

Samsung’s thin and light laptops. Thin designs mean screens need care, and batteries wear on older units.

Common models: Galaxy Book5 Pro, Galaxy Book4 Pro, Galaxy Book3 Pro, Galaxy Book2 Pro and the original Galaxy Book Pro.

Galaxy Book Pro 360 and Galaxy Book 360

Convertible laptops with a screen that folds back. Hinges and the screen cable take more strain, and touch screens can stop responding after a drop.

Common models: Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 and 360, Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 and 360, Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 and 360, Galaxy Book2 Pro 360.

Galaxy Book Ultra

Larger, more powerful models with dedicated graphics. More power means more heat, so fan cleaning matters.

Common models: Galaxy Book4 Ultra and Galaxy Book3 Ultra.

Galaxy Book (standard and newer models)

Everyday Galaxy Book laptops, including the newest generation. Batteries, keyboards and screens are the usual repairs.

Common models: Galaxy Book6 14-inch and other Galaxy Book6 models, and Galaxy Book4 Edge.

Older Galaxy Book and Samsung Notebook models

Older models such as the Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion, and Samsung Notebook 9, Notebook 7 and Odyssey laptops. Parts for very old models can be harder to find, so check with us first.

Common models: Galaxy Book Flex, Galaxy Book Ion, Samsung Notebook 9 and 7, Samsung Odyssey.

Bought your Galaxy Book overseas?

That’s fine. We repair Galaxy Book laptops wherever they were bought. A few things to know first:

  • Keyboard layout. Laptops bought in other countries may have a different keyboard layout. Tell us if you want to keep it, as the replacement part may differ.
  • Warranty. Cover for an overseas unit may depend on where it was bought. Check with Samsung before paying for a repair.
  • BitLocker recovery key. Many Windows laptops are encrypted. After a board or storage repair you may need the key, which is usually saved in your Microsoft account.
  • Backups. Copy your files somewhere safe before the repair.

Still under manufacturer warranty?

Check with Samsung first. If a fault is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, that is usually the cheapest fix. Opening the laptop or using an independent repairer may affect your warranty, so ask before you book a repair with anyone. If your laptop is out of warranty, or the damage isn’t covered, we’re happy to help.

Can you repair my Galaxy Book screen?

Usually, yes. AMOLED and touch screens need the right part, so send us the full model name first. Prices depend on the model and part. Send us the model on WhatsApp for a quote.

Will I lose my data?

Screen, battery, keyboard and fan repairs don’t normally touch your storage. Board and liquid damage repairs carry more risk. Back up before you bring it in if the laptop still works. A 3-2-1 backup is a good habit.

How do I find my Galaxy Book model?

Look at the label under the laptop for the model name and code. In Windows, you can also check Settings > System > About or the System Information app.
